Unique piece with sheet of Italian Travertine marble and Gildings of 19 3/4 kt (800/00) gold.
The Saint Marc Lamp is a design projected by CrivéStudio https://www.crivestudio.it/ based on the culture of materials, techinical know-how, creative flair and passion, that passion that allows you to face the changelles of the global market. The design has enanched the artisan attention the velvety touch of the natural material – both gold leaf and marble – which becomes important for the sensory perception of the object. In the marble, trought an operation similar to brushing, the surface it is antiqued, the cutting lines rounded thus achieving the exaltation of the characteristic porosity of the Travertine.
The city of Venice was the inspiration for the conception of a modern lamp that would enhance the craftsmanship of the excecution; then the domes of the Saint Marc, in the stylization of the shapes of the lantern with its wavy lines of oriental influence.
The Lamp was conceived as a soft light illumintation that would not dazzle the guest’s eyes and at the same time create reverberation light effects.
The aluminium lampshape is half covered in 800 gold leaf (pale sun gold 19 and 3/4 kt) and half perfored with a 3D laser cut that recalls the random and characteristic porosity of the Travertino marble. It ends with an “onion” element in gray Travertine made by combining mechanical processing to skilfully complete a small element. At the top a small golden tip collects the lines of the design.
The lampshade is set on a cylindrical metal rod and a square- shaped base in alluminium, gold leaf and Travertine. The gray Travertine, here brought to a thickness of only two millimeters and skilfully treated, reveals the underlying gold leaf from its porosity.
